Costume Society of America Fellow

Purpose
To recognize the dedication, commitment, leadership, and outstanding contributions of members of the Costume Society of America.

Description
The award of Costume Society of America Fellow recognizes those members of the Costume Society of America whose dedication, commitment, leadership, and outstanding contributions to the Society and to the field of costume warrant bestowal of the society's highest honor as Fellow. The Fellow Selection Committee, composed of six members and a Chairperson appointed by the President, is charged with reviewing the nominations and selecting those worthy of this recognition. The presentation of the award is made at the Annual National Symposium and an announcement is published in the CSA Newsletter, Dress, and local newspapers. Fellows continue to be recognized at the National Symposia and serve as guides and mentors by challenging the membership and encouraging their extraordinary participation and contributions on behalf of the Society.

  • Members of the Costume Society of America for a minimum of ten years.
  • Professional work that focuses on costume.
  • Scholarly output that highlights the field.
