Dress,
The
Journal of The Costume Society of America, includes articles,
book and exhibition reviews,
letters to the editor and short reports. It represents the
highest level of scholarship and addresses the diverse interests
of the
membership. Articles may be biographies, conservation reports,
theoretical discussions or analytical and interpretative papers
that describe and place costume in cultural or historical context.
Essays should reflect original scholarship based on primary
sources. Manuscripts undergo blind review and are accepted
throughout the year. Contributors
must be members of the Costume Society of America.
Submission of an article must include one original and
four copies
of
the manuscript, artwork and figure captions. Authors should
consult
with the editor about problems in doing this. Upon acceptance
and following final editing, authors will be asked to provide
the editor with a finalized draft on computer disk indicating
type of computer and software used.
