Danielle Reaves

The Treasurer is responsible for the financial functioning of the Society.

Danielle Reaves is an adjunct instructor of apparel design and fashion retailing in the Department of Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design at The University of Alabama. She's a graduate of Louisiana State University [Ph.D. in Apparel Design and Historic/Cultural Aspects of Textiles and Apparel (2019)] and The University of Alabama [B.A. in Telecommunication and Film (2008); M.S. in Apparel and Textiles (2013)]. Her background also includes theatrical costume construction and design work for The University of Alabama, Shenandoah University, and Southern Illinois University. Her research interests include: 18th- to 20th-Century dress history and consumption practices, subcultural fashions, and museums' role in dress/textiles history and design education. She is also a member of the International Textile and Apparel Association.
