Urvashi Lele

Vice President for Technology, 2025-2027

The Vice President for Technology recommends the direction of and/or conducts development and innovation in technological offerings for our membership, including co-coordinating the Digital Angels and Dress Portal projects with the Vice President for Grants & Projects.


Urvashi Lele is a fashion and textile archivist currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Art History, with a research focus on Native American smoking culture and its influence on 20th-century menswear. She previously interned at LACMA’s Costumes and Textiles department, gaining experience with TMS and Past Perfect. With a decade-long background in animation and a Master’s from UCLA, she’s proficient in technical software and instructional demos. Urvashi is also the founder of Maison Audmi, an Indo-British label promoting gender-fluid menswear, which deepened her expertise in logistics and digital tools. Her career pivot to museum work is rooted in a love for storytelling and historic dress. Combining hands-on archival work, creative entrepreneurship, and technical fluency, Urvashi brings a unique interdisciplinary approach to fashion scholarship.
