Heidi Cochran

Vice President for Symposia, 2023-2025

The role of the Vice President for Symposia is to coordinate and supervise activities related to the national symposium, including overseeing the National Symposium Committee and each year’s Local Arrangements Committee.

Heidi Cochran lives at the foot of Mount Timpanogos in Orem, Utah, with most of her family, seven cats, a small dress history library, and a very large craft and sewing stash. She has loved the history of clothing since she was a little girl and saw "Hello Dolly" on PBS at her grandparents' house, and has studied the history and psychology of dress and appearance since she was 12 and discovered Doreen Yarwood's "Encyclopedia of World Costume" at the junior high library. Heidi has made wedding dresses, costumed and acted in local theater, been a licensed image consultant through the Conselle Institute of Image Management, and holds a degree in History and Psychology from Utah Valley University. She has been a member of CSA since 2013 and currently serves as the SW Region president and planning co-chair with Vicki Berger for the 2023 symposium in Salt Lake City.
