Jaleesa Reed

Jaleesa Reed is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Human Centered Design at Cornell University. Her research focuses on millennial Black women’s beauty culture and beauty retail spaces by connecting human geography, feminist studies, and merchandising in the fashion, apparel, and textile industries.

Since joining CSA in 2016, Jaleesa has served in a variety of ways at both the regional and national levels. She served as the Membership Chair for Southeast Region from 2016 to 2021. She was an Abstract Reviewer for 2020 Southeast Regional Symposium, and presented a paper at the 2022 CSA National Symposium in Minneapolis, MN. She also presented a poster at 2019 CSA National Symposium in Seattle, WA. Jaleesa also served as a Registration desk volunteer.
