Midwest Region Student Travel Award

     Each year, CSA travel funding in an amount up to $750 is available for a Midwest Region Student Member to present at the National Symposium of The Costume Society of America.

  • Eligibility

    Applicants must meet the following qualifications:


    • Must be a current Midwest Regional CSA Student Member.
    • Must be accepted as a presenter.

  • Application Procedure

    The complete application should be uploaded using this online submission form that includes contact information and the following attachments: 


    • Current curriculum vitae.
    • 100-word essay “How I will contribute to CSA at the National Symposium.” 
    • List of expenses. 
    • Letter of support.

  • Grant Schedule and Terms

    The deadline for the application is February 1, 2024 and award notification will happen by March 10, 2024.


    • Awards may be distributed among multiple student members. 
    • Preference will be given to students traveling from out-of-state.
    • Applicants are eligible for one National and one Regional travel award, though preference will be given to students who do not receive National funding.
