Nallely Rangel Vázquez is a Ph.D. student in Sciences & Arts for Design at the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM), Xochimilco, researching the cultural history of women’s textile design in Mexico during the Porfiriato (1900–1910). Her academic training includes a master’s in industrial design (UNAM) and a second Master’s in Heritage Conservation focused on textiles (ENCRYM-INAH). She completed research stays at CSIC in Seville and the University of Leeds. Her undergraduate degree in Textile Design is from EDINBA-INBAL, with additional training in costume design at ENAT-INBAL. In 2019, her master’s thesis earned a research mention at the 10th National Design Biennial. A CONAHCYT fellow, she is founder of MOSEUA, a color lab for fashion and textiles. She has worked on diverse creative projects for opera, theater, film, and exhibitions, and has taught in programs in Fashion, Textile Design, Fashion Collections, and Costume Design.
