Melissa Gamble

President Elect, 2026-2028

The President Elect is responsible for working closely with the President on the functioning of the Society and is responsible for the overall administrative duties of the organization.

Melissa Gamble, an Assistant Professor in the Fashion Studies Department at Columbia College Chicago, is a dedicated educator and industry professional. She teaches courses such as Trendspotting, Law for Creatives: Fashion, and Professional Practice. Melissa’s expertise extends beyond the classroom—she has written and presented on topics including cultural appropriation, changing power structures in the fashion industry, and experiential learning. Her industry background includes serving as the Director of Fashion Arts and Events for the City of Chicago and executive producer for the city’s fashion week.
